Yes, we shall be back to the stock 4x4 ride height and softer ride. Well, as soft as a stock suspension 93 Foxbody would be. I have no idea what these front springs are that I took out, but they rode like a tank. Hit a bump and your teeth fall out of you skull. No longer.....

BTW, putting the longer stock front springs back in just about whopped my azz

I just finished off under the back where I secured brake lines that previously had been flopping around like a fish out of water. Also slapped in a new fuel filter and did the driveshaft bolts. They were literally falling out. I removed one at a time, thoroughly cleaned and reinstalled using loctite.

Now repacking front bearings and going to put wheels back on. I might just have this thing off the jackstands to see how it sits this eve.

Right front rotor must have come from something post 93. What say you?

Looks like a mark 7 rotor to me.

All you need is 7 threads of engagement for a nut. Beyond that, additional threads carry very little load

Have not driven it yet so I'm sure it will settle a tad. Here's how she stands after suspension work. The skinny fronts are going as soon as I get 15x7 welds for the front. Or maybe even new wheels all around if I find a good trade.

I know right. But hey, all the crap I still need to add back like the deleted AC , bumper support and whatnot will load it up some more.

I'll tell ya one thing I'm keepin, the 411 rear. Stall converter, probably gonna ditch it.

Hey, John. I'm in Maryland too and have a bumper support laying around...and I think I have an AC condenser as well ( gotta check on that ). I've got a few odds and ends that are just taking up space. It'll only cost you a little gas money to get here...I'm in St.Mary's county.

Thanks very much for the offer. I have acquired the bumper. Restoring AC is a distant idea. If you can hang on to the condenser, I might nab that from you in the further.

I drove the car today. Rides good and wants to show its handling prowess. Although, when I corner even moderately I can feel the skinny front tires folding under the rims. Need some 15x7 Weld Prostars for the front. Then I'll get a decent size tire on there and be ready carve up the twisty roads.

Bye bye x303. Hello stock HO cam. I need to get stock length pushrods. Different base circle on these two cams.

I think I'll pull the trans and fix the OD issue before putting intake back on. Looks a lot easier with bell-housing bolts exposed while the intake off.

I already have 15x8 Prostars with 255/60's on the rear and they look and fit perfect. I don't know off hand what the offset or back spacing is but I could measure if needed.

I need a pair of Weld Prostars for the front of a 93 convertible. 15x7 is what I want so I can run a good size tire to have good handling in corners. Weld makes 4 different offsets and back spacings in my lug pattern of this wheel. I don't know which one to get. Which one do I need and should I measure the spacing on my rears before finalizing a decision? Also, what size tire would you recommend for the 15x7 fronts?

Here are the 4 choices in 15x7 Prostar 5x4.5 lug pattern for the front

rear spacing 2 1/2" Offset -38mm

rear spacing 3 1/2" Offset -13mm

rear spacing 4 1/2" Offset +13mm

rear spacing 5 1/2" Offset +38mm

Put the o2's back, add the IAT (put it in the airbox if the intake isn't tapped) and stick the 19's back in.

I've convinced myself to drill and tap the 5th runner and put the IAT where the ECU expects it to be.

While I wait on pushrods and other goodies to get here for the cam swap, I'm pulling the AOD trans. Although this 1993 car was originally T5, the ID plate on the installed AOD says it came from a 1989 Mustang. Thats good news since its one of the better AOD versions. I've got something worth working with.

I can't fix this trans. Or at least I think it's reasonable to get another one or have a pro rebuild this one. I thought I might only need an od band and servo upgrade. However, after I pulled the pump I discovered torn up hard parts.

So what's the best place to get a good rebuilt aod? I don't need anything super heavy duty. Not a race car. Just a daily driver with some occasional sporty driving.

I havent really heard of a good AOD. I heard "upgrade to a 4R70W" if you want to stay auto.

Jasper does transmissions, paw is another one I talked to last year when I thought my truck transmission was kaput.
They ain't cheap but they have warranties, I sure you guys have more input.
