hey guys in about a year im goin to wyotech and that is where i'll be doing my 5.0 engine swap, my first plan was to go carbed, because i heard that swapping to efi would be a nightmare, as i dont have a donor car for the swap and im kinda tight on cash. i was just wondering if any of you have used Painless products before? they advertise it all being (for the most part) plug and play, id really like to go efi and if i can get all the wiring i need new from them i will drop the cash to do it, just lemme know what u guys think ANY imput even if negative is appreciated, thanks guys

ud be better off finding a stock harness that will plug into ur car that harness is more designed for street rods ud have to take out alot and redo some of the 4cyl stuff that way

Or you could buy the Painless harness and NOT have to deal with old, used, broken crap harnesses. I'd go with the painless. It's the exact same length and has the exact same connections as the stock harness. Sure, you can use it in a street rod... but it IS a stock replacement harness.

man...i dont know...i bought my harness and computer for under 200 for it all. No problems with any broken wires. You look on Ebay... or try local mustang websites like here in Chicago we have CHITOWNRACING.com. Excellent places to pick that crap up. Plus no shipping fees and get a good look at the item before you buy it. Ive seen harness go for under $100. im not exactly sure what the painless is going for but id look around man. can use that money towards some real power like a new cam or intake....

GOOD LUCK man...

Have you ever used it? Its complete **** yeah its plug and play but its a piece of crap the new connectors break easier then the old ones. Your guages all wont work its not worth the 400 it cost. Not the same exact length either. Not exactly stock replacement either some little odd and ends connectors are not there. Go over to foureyed pride and do a search there is a guy who sells mass air harnesses and he swaped old connectors for new ones so they will last longer he also makes harnesses to for around 300...
