Paint and prep interior?

I'm working on a 65 vert and doing a color change and have a couple questions. I haven't dealt with the crinkle type finish on early Stangs before. So if anyone has done this, how have you stripped it, I don't want to sand it flat and scuffing may not get in there enough plus it's no doubt laquer, in my case probably 1K aresol from the PO

Also, what did you use for paint, satin finish? It's going to be black inside, red outside.

I used some crappy orange paint stripper from lowes. IT SUCKS A$$. I ended up using a brass wire wheel and lots of elbow grease with a soft brass brush. wiping it with mineral spirits seamed to aid in the removal.

Thanks for the reply, that doesn't sound like much fun, I use aircraft stripper on panels and that sucks plenty enough without having to deal with the textured surface, whoever came up with that was an idiot

yeah but when its done right it looks good. I actually used paint gun cleaner on the edges of the rear panels where the bends are I just used a cookie pan and soaked them over night. If I could find a way to soak the entire panel, that would have saved me hours of work.
