im thinking of painting all that stuff you just did laser red now....it really makes the interior look nice...do you think it would look good in my black/gray interior??

Anthony

Anthony, I personally think the red I used (Duplicor Ford's Electric Currant) would look AWESOME with a gray interior..even better than tan.

Black96: It's the BTM button, part of the MSD box...It retards timing when the car is under boost...In the summer, I have it set on 2* retard for every pound of boost...makes the car much safer, specially in the heat and humidity.

I told him that but he didnt believe me  oh well

after looking at those pics again, it might look better if you put back in the factory black ac-panel. The silver kinda clashes if you step back and look at the whole dash/console as a package. I think you pulled off the 3tone job but you're definately pushing it with 4 tones.

yeah either that, or go with the white gauge faces and white a/c face.

Well, since the A/C face is so cheap, I may go back to black on that.

I originally planned on the white face gauges, but I havent had the chance to do it. I think Ill just order the black one from 50resto and put it "back to black"

You probably know this already, but installing white face gauges is really easy. I did it in less than an hour, which means that it would probably take you 30 miinutes.

Ya know RC...in the time it took you to paint all that crap, you could of driven to EVERY TRACK in all of Florida and raced your car.

Wasn't it you who said the nearest track was a 4 hour trip and you just didn't have the time?

Sounds like you are avoiding it or something?

BTW...while I would never do that to my car, I think it came out looking pretty good.

Actually, the TOTAL Labor time was probably no more than an hour. It took days, in terms of letting it dry, spraying, letting it dry, sanding, spraying, letting it dry.. There were lots of coats with lots of drying in between. ALso, I have adjusted my A/F for daily driving, but I still have got a good dyno tune on it yet at WOT..

JR when you say: That is all I'm tryin to say, do you mean...

1. Change back to black on the A/C

or

2. Change the dash ones to white...

Black 96: I have read people having problems with the needles, and IM not sure which ones to get, b/c the MAC ones are crap...

Thanks all...

yeah, i had the mac ones on the '96. they looked great in the day, but crappy at night.

the trickiest part about the needles is putting them on while driving. get a friend to drive a known speed and have another friend in the car with you to put the needles on while you are pacing him. use the cruise control.

i did it myself tho ... if your idle is consistant, you can set that in the driveway, then get to third gear and put on the cruise control at 2200 rpms and set the speedo needle. it's pretty easy if you have a straight road with little traffic. of course, you'll have to record the speed at 2200 before taking the gauges out.

these are the faces i want now ...

btw, i have a brushed aluminum gauge bezel and black a/c face. i'm going with silver/polished/brushed aluminum accents on my interior. if you decide to go back to black and your a/c face is not too shiny (the mirror finish is too much for me), i'd be willing to work out a deal to trade my black one for your silver one. pm me if interested.

Looking good RC :nice:. Im gonna repaint my interior pieces like that sometime in the near future. I've got the horse on the steering wheel and "Mustang" on the pass. air bag finished. It looks great on black, but im sure how it would look on tan. A friend of mine has tan interior in his car and he painted the Mustang lettering black, which looks very :nice:. Here's mine:
