hey guys,
I dont have the coin for new rims right now, but wanted to do something tasteful for my 'stanger and make it stand out a lil bit. What do you think?

This is the stock wheel..

Here is the rim after I polished the lip with various compounds and my high speed buffer.

..and the finished product, after using 3 coats of flat black wheel paint and 3 coats of wheel clear coat.

Here is the wheel on my car. THe other wheel is still off (other front) so it's still up a bit on my lift, so it looks like a 4x4. You get the idea though! : )

Well, what do you think? Just a cheap mod that I think will make the car stand out a lil bit. Please ignore my tires, I know they're crap. They came with the car. I'm just buying time 'till I get some new rims/tires altogether.

I like it. It is unique, I will give you that... I am kind of starting to like the turbines because no one has them anymore. It makes the few of us stand out in the crowd

Thanks man. I think they look much better than they did before. . they were corroded, clearcoat flaking off, etc. Now they look nice again, and a little different at the same time. Not bad for $15 and a few hours, imo.

Hey guys, thanks for the positive feedback. Yeah, they're almost too shiny for the paint. I hit the fender with some Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax this week to try and offset the shiny wheels. . haha
I haven't had time to do the two rears yet, but will try and get to it tomorrow night. After that, a full body pic is coming. BTW, this is the photoshop post when I was doing my research of what to do with these rims, low-budget wise that made me do them in black. Check it out..
