parking brake poblem

my 2 rear parking brake cables are a little freyed so i went to order new ones, i figured sense i have the whole driveline out it would be a good time to change them now, so when i get to the parts store they tell me that theres 2 different set ups for 1969 mustangs depending on build date, but i dont know the build date on my car, what do i do?

Finding Build Date

To find out your build date you would have to look at the warranty or id plate. It is usually attached to the drivers door. By where it latches to the frame. Look at the date section mine has a '21M'. First number represents the day of the month the second letter is code for the actual month. I'm almost positive they don't use the letter 'i' in the code because my build date interprets into December 21st. January starts it off with the letter 'A' and so on. Hope this helps?
