Passed Georgia Emissions with Bassani X!!!

I passed my emissions test quite easily with my new Bassani X-pipe w/cats. The guy didn't even question the fact that I only have two cats now instead of the stock four. I've also got 2 chamber Flows welded in, but they may not have an effect at all.

I live in the Atlanta area, so our emissions here are pretty strict, as they do a visual check, sniffer, and a few other things.

I did see a couple areas on the test that were worse than before, but they were well within the limits. I've seen posts where others have been concerned about emissions tests, so maybe this will encourage someone else to get an X-pipe. :D

Just very glad that I passed. :)

I've heard of people being questioned about it, but I don't think anything every comes of it. Basically, if you've got a high mileage vehicle, then there is nothing to worry about if you have another mid-pipe (as long as the new pipe doesn't hurt the results). Probably the only ones that check for 4 cats are then ones who know something about Mustangs, but again only 2 cats are needed.

I'd like to ask Ford about the 4 cats vs. two cats. If 2 cats will pass the test easily AND provide more power, then why not go that route. Thankfully, there is an aftermarket who is far wiser. :)

Just another 10 more years and I won't have to worry about emissions crap any more! :)

Then comes the O/R X and better engine mods. It would be nice to be able to simply put on great parts that make power, rather than suffering through the process of figuring out what'll pass emissions and paying a higher price for it.
