Hey guys, my paxton 2000 has started dripping oil where the intake hose connects to the blower. It only does it once every week or so, and it is only a spot about 3-4" in diameter on my garage floor. Apparently the seals are going. Paxton said they will rebuild it for $426. Cheap enough. In the meantime, can I still run her hard, or is there a danger of me effing up the head unit itself so bad that I would have to buy a brand new blower? Don't want to drop $3000 for that. Thank you all for any response or advice you can give me.

The paxton 2000 uses the oil from your engine so what you should be more worried about is running low on oil. Low on oil = potential for engine and blower issues / significant damage. Getting it fixed sooner rather than later sounds like a good idea. Could you still run it hard.... sure.... but really.... you are leaking oil where the intake hose connects, fix that crap.

Thanks bro, I do check the oil everyday, even when there is a 3" puddle on the floor, I am still A OK on engine oil. I guess I will pull the blower, but I was hoping I could get through the summer before I got her fixed, after all I got a vert, and Paxtons turnaround time is probably a month or more. I will call them again and ask how long they will have my blower.
