Getting ready to buy one for my 65, it has a well built 289 a solid 300 hp
I see a lot of these type, some with carb in box some with out.
Not dealing with box seem so much cleaner, just havent seen what brand they are.
If any one has done this would be intrested in how it went

Pistons are forged, 8.5 I forgot the brand name, cam is a 512 lift roller rockers I start to lose it at about 7,500 rpms,car is just street driven, But I have some punk ass kid that I'm probably going to get smoked by this summer because I said I would race him at the strip, he,s got an Subaru STI and it is not stock and the dam little rice burner is fast.
I thought about adding NOS at the same time.
I wouldnt turn a blower to 7500. You also have to mod the carb and know how to jet it.You will also need a fuel system and i would run bigger lines. So if the cost of $4,000+ is justified to beat a import, have fun.
Those guys are spinning the crap outta Centrifigals, but I sure wouldn't be spinning a blown sb ford on a stock block.
Really, either build it to support it or just do the nitrous kit to beat him. Hell, you should be able to put a decent set of heads, and correct camshaft and tune the rest of the combo and run high 11's without too much work.
Demon sells a Blow thru carb and it takes much of the guess work out of this project. As mentioned you will have to install the larger lines (Carb. & return) along with a boost referenced regulator. I love mine.

Just like a lot of Demon owners have experienced there were some issues. Fuel bowl settings took some time to adjust out. Every time I thought I had it set it would be off the next time I checked but I think thats due to my fuel pressure regulator. I do not have an air/fuel guage but it starts easily, theres no black smoke and the plugs look great. I do have to upgrade to larger lines soon though.
