Paxton supercharger...

I have the opportunity to pick up an older 9lbs paxton blower dirt cheap... Question is, would it be ok to slap it on with the mods i have? Anything i should worry about? Thanks for any advice. :SNSign:

if its the old SN2000s or whatever they suck, if its only pullin 6 or so lbs should be okay, the 9lbs might bge pushin it, but prolly still work

I don't think you'd have any problem running it with the mods you have. Might need to upgrade injectors if anything.

Are you getting a FMU with it? Whats your compression at with those heads? Are you running the stock Fuel pump?

Yeah, its a sn89. I also have the stock fuel pump. I have been planning on upgrading it but have yet to do it. As for the FMU, im not to informed on what it is/does. More info would be greatly appreciated. And thanks for those who have chimed in. :SNSign:

ur injectors are FINE.


You need to upgrade your fuel pump to at least a 190 and defintely have a FMU in place.

if you dont have an FMU or dont want to use one then 24lb injectors are not enough and you need to step those up.

The FMU is nothing more than a really fancy fuel pressure regulator. It increases fuel pressure in a ratio compared to boost. IE. 1psi = 10psi increase in fuel pressure (not really REAL figures, but you get the idea). Its not the best way to supply fuel BUT it does work and can be used very efficiently if done right. Its also cheaper and easier than adding large injectors.
