Nah, it was a diesel that I converted to an olds 350.. It wasn't a power issue but a " pull it up the boat ramp" and a " too much weight to safely tow behind it.. 19' Mastercraft direct drive open bow was the boat.......
Not the 23" wake board V-drive I show behind the finished truck pictures....

Looks like I'm going to have to remove some of the ground effects because they didn't install all the new brackets I provided. Have to see which brackets are needed and order them again. Hope I don't damage the paint on them when removing and reinstalling them.

Decided to try out some LED lights in the cluster. Only replaced the 6 major ones. While doing so I found out that my dimmer switch is faulty. Couldn’t get the dash lights to come on and thought I messed something up with the wiring but was just the dimmer switch. Going to order a replacement one. Can I replace the switch with the gauge cluster installed or should I leave it unbolted?

The leds look good, I did mine in blue and love them, I even did the hazard/rear defrost as per the write up I found on here from a member.
The head light / fog light switch still bothered me so I ordered a new one and took it apart ,did some trial and error and had it working but the switch came apart so I gave up. Was gonna get another switch and do a write up but health issues creeped in and I haven't been tinkering much.

I’m close to having all my interior back installed. Need a couple of items and then should be good. Will need a good cleaning. Then I can tackle the exterior. Can’t wait to get it back on the road.

I’m trying to address the ground effects. Passenger side didn’t have all the brackets installed and they used double sided tape. I ordered the brackets for them. I’ll need to drill the holes for them. Anyone have the measurements of where they belong?

On the drivers side, they installed all the brackets. However, the grout effect that attaches to the front fender doesn’t sit flush against the panel. I know the fender alignment is not spot on but the car has been in an accident on that side and that’s about as best as it can line up. These aftermarket brackets seem a bit flimsy too.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Wait for your brackets to arrive.

Plot them out so that they are the same on both sides.

Replace that horrible, squishy, foam mess tape with [Red] 3M Automotive decal tape, where necessary.

I understand but this is not just [any] tape. It is what OEMs use to affix their emblems to cars at the factory.

I would have some on-hand, juuuuuuuuuuust in the case that the brackets just don't cover it (for whatever reason). Just make sure that surfaces are prepped and cleaned.

Heat guns help to remove [Red] decal tape.

As @Noobz347 said, don’t be afraid of the 3M automotive red decal tape. It’s FANTASTIC! You will not lose your trims, badges, etc… Not even in a car wash…
To remove the old stuff I use a pot of hot water. Pour it over/behind the piece to be removed. Do that a few times to soften up the old adhesive and then using the tool Noobz showed above or a piece of fishing line is what I use, slide it behind and move side to side while pushing downward and the part will come off with no damaage.

Thanks, ordered the tape this morning. Brackets should be here this week. Hopefully this weekend I can get it all installed.

I’d like to try and get a better alignment between the fender and door. You can that it’s not straight. The fender needs to drop down some or door raise up some. What would you fellas recommend?

Can the door be adjusted with the fender on? Not sure if the bolts can be reached. At the moment, the door slightly touches the fender when opening and closing it.

Was the door removed when painted?

Yes it was. All the panels were removed. It has new hinge pins.
