It's a repo fender that has been on the car. Before paint it was aligned better. I'm just not sure how to go about trying to get it looking better. With my luck, I'll loosen bolts and then make it much worse.So if the door lines up with the rear quarter then its a function of the front fender. IF the top of the fender is lined up with the cowl then my guess would be a repo fender unless you know its an OEM fender.
Thanks. Yeah it sucks but at least I’m putting it back together as correctly as possible. They would have just thrown it together not giving two craps.Looks a lot better now. Sucks you had to go through all of that.
Is it the gauges that made it difficult to remove that cowl vent completely? Seemed like a lot of work to mask off a few pieces that come off fairly easy?Did a little painting to try and get these pieces looking better.

I installed aftermarket door moldings on my car @Fri Guy. I laid them out flat in the sun for a while, laid some painters tape straight accord the door, lined that up with the rocker moldings and stuck em on. Make sure you work from the inside out, or else they may stick out somewhere in the center of the door.Any of you fellas had good luck with installing aftermarket door side moldings? I'm waiting for a good day when the sun is out so I can let them sit out there for a couple of hours. I've read a lot of stories to where they will eventually start to come off at the ends. I'm planning on washing that area, using some sort of cleaner to make sure no contaminants are on the door, applying 3M adhesive promoter, installing the moldings and using a lot of tape over them and leaving it for a couple of days. Any advice would be much appreciated.
Yep, I left that out.It's not 100% necessary however, I like to clean the contact patches for the two-side tape with alcohol just moments before the tape meets the surface.
