pedestal vs. stud mount

i have a set of aluminum eddies rpm older style with 2.02's and a 5/16 hole for pedestal mount rockers, but already own a set of 7/16 comp cams 1.6 stud mounts. research tells me i can convert my heads to stud mount rockers for $90.00. should i convert or sell my rockers and buy a set of pedestal mounts.

I'd spend the $90.00 and convert to studmount. They are slightly more stronger and don't require shims to install correctly. Much cheaper than the $200 to $300 you'll spend to buy new rockers anyway.

i got a stud setup on my car. ive broken two studs so far, but i got to double check my geometry. i think my springs are going into a bind with the 1.7 rockers i have on there. thats my fault though, not the studs or rockers. i would go with the stud mount and make it easy on yourself.

I would buy the Steeda 1.6 paired shaft mount adjustable rockers for pedestal type heads. Not the "cheap" option (they cost $350) but the best IMO. Stronger and more stable than single stud mount too.

i have some bolt on 1.6s there were the biggest pain in the ass to set the correct preload. i say convert to studs.
