Hi all. I'm asking this for a friend with a 2.5L Ranger, and I know you guys will have good opinions on this. He's installed a hi-flo cat, (along with intake mods) and is looking for a performance muffler that's not too loud, just a good sounding one. I assume the 2.5 has the same firing order and is very similiar to the 2.3L, so the mufflers should be comparable. (He dosn't want to be mistaken for a ricer)

So, what do you think? Flowmaster.......?

Thanks,
HYS

3-chamber flowmaster should serve him pretty well...or if he doesn't want to spend that much, just some Turbo-style muffler.

yeah, 3 chamber flow for more interior sound, or a Dynomax superturbo for more exterior sound with a near stock sound inside. I have a superturbo and it is dead quiet when I don't have exhaust leaks. good thing I always have exhaust leaks. lol

OK, thanks guys. Three chamber Flowmaster or Dynomax Superturbo it is. I'll pass this along. Good choices.

I've got a audio/video clip of mine. It has a long tube header, Magnaflow cat and a Dynomax Super Turbo. I just have nowhere to have it hosted.

Yes, there's no record of it anywhere on the sight. I know you told me earlier that when you put your clip up, that the creator had to actually load it himself and it took a while. Maybe it's still done that way, but it must be 6 or so weeks since I registered and uploaded it.

Ah, I thought that was you that had asked about that.

Well, I dunno. You could try e-mailing the administrator and find out what the deal is.

magnaflows arent chambered

all he really needs to do is head down to the local advance auto parts or autozone and pick up a thrush turbo muffler. will sound just about identcal to the dynomax super turbo, just about 20 bucks cheaper.

I'll agree to that. Up in Canada they are marketed as Cherry Bomb Turbos. 34.99 cdn at Candian Tire.
