performance upgrade...

i got 500 bux to work with on a stock 91 gt 5.0 i was thinkin dual flowmasters and K&n
so how much perfomance increase could i get from the stcok hp which is liek 225 i think.

forget about the k&n with the stock air box,take the hole thing off and get a cold air intake.That alone will give you 6-9 HP.Then get some muffs!!!

THe flows really wont do anything for you if you have stock headers...they'll sound good tho. Do the K&N, get some under-drive pullies, headers are a good upgrade. Putting 3.73's in the back will be the biggest notice, altho it does not accually add HP, just feels like it. Do the free stuff too....remove the air silencer, bump timing

Either get 3.73's or get a midpipe and headers. You can get Mac shorties for less than $200 and get a Mac prochamber is like $250 or less i dont remember exactly. IMO flows sound like ass. Try Mac or bassani, magnaflow theres so many exhaust companies out there that IMO sound better and make more power than flowmaster.
