Anybody know anything about this camera? I got this as a gift a few years ago along with an EFS 17-85mm lens and have really never got into it and I'm no expert by any means. It has all kinds of options and things to change and I don't know what I should and shouldn't be changing.

If any one could help me with this that would be awesome. The only thing I use it for is taking pics of my car.

The 20D is a dang good camera and that lens is no slouch either. Not a L lens, but still a good quality lens. Should be able to get some very nice pics out of the combo. As for the settings, it depends on what you are wanting to do. Use shutter priority mode for night pictures and other long exposure shots. Use aperture priority mode when you want to have the greatest control over the depth of field in the shot. Use full manual mode when you have mastered the other two modes. If you are just using the auto mode (green box) then you are not taking advantage of but 1/20th what this digital SLR can do. Do some Google searches on digital SLR photography tutorials and be sure to post up some pics.
