Is anyone here that has done the PI swap on a 96-98 Gt have aftermarket cams such as Comp or VT's? I would like to get some Comp 264AH Cams but have been told there will be some naughty touching between my pistons and valves. Does anyone have this type of combo? I believe that my car has flat top pistons which is what is posing the problem. Does anybody know for sure?

I would go with the vt stage 2 n/a cams. they are some people on md that have them and they have had real good success with them and no problems

We've run the stage2's on flat topped stroked motors without ptv issues. The stage 2's were designed for a combo with some added compression, so they'll work well with a headswapped car.

Right on. Thanks for the info guys! How do the 262AH or VT Stage 2 work with Nitrous? I am hoping to be bottle fed pretty soon.

Don't know about the Comps, as I'm not familiar with their specs. However, our cams work great with nitrous, just go to modulardepot and search for NitroLew's latest results. He was thrilled with how the cams worked with the juice.
