The magazine article that covers this subject is the June of 2004,5.0 Mustang & Super Ford. They state that a stock 96 Mustang pulled 195.0 HP at 5000 RPM's to the rear wheels and 272.8 at 3400 RPM's of torque. After the PI intake with adapter plates install, the same vehicle pulled 217.7 at 4800 RPM's to the wheels and 274.6 at 3700 RPM's of torque.

Sounds about right. 22.7hp
And what is the PI Intake swap worth by itself? I've seen dyno numbers before but can't find them right now.
SOTP-wise, I would definitely say the PI Intake swap alone on my car was worth a bit more than the OR H-Pipe was. So that is to say 10-15hp at the very least.

I have the adapter plates on my car. My main concern was that I plan on putting a blower on my car in the next few months. I want to have the best seal possible. I just cannot trust RTV sealant under some sort of boost. It just depends on what you want to do with your car.

The 5-10hp is just an estimate of what I feel the plates are worth over doing the intake alone. And if your numbers are right, then I guess I wasn't too far off. 18-22hp for the intake alone and 35hp for the intake with plates. So that makes the plates worth 13-17hp.
15hp for $300 isn't too bad, I guess. If someone can verify those numbers, it would be worthwhile to a lot of us.

No plates here, but sorry to say the PI intake didn't make the hp gains you guys are talking here. Here is my dyno sheet with post pre and post PI intake (plus frpp catback). The engine was dyno'd while the car was still hot compared to the first time, but the PI intake and catback were the only mods. Not sure what it would have shown if I didn't already have the PI cams already installed, but I have seen the order of installation of parts effect the outcome of the gains of that part - so maybe that's the case here.

The Livernois website states it is modified. And I've read someplace else that is too.
