PI Swap Sensor

I recently swapped the 2000 PI engine into my 98 and my original wiring harness is wired for 2 sensors which plug into the manifold. I believe one goes to the computer and the other goes to the gauge cluster (correct me if I'm wrong). I have the one hooked up to the computer but the gauge isn't working and it's setting off my check engine light. I dont want to drill into the intake because it doesnt have the aluminum cross-over tube and I dont want to crack it. I tried splicing the wiring but I think the impedence is different in the two sensors and the light is still on. Anyone who has done the swap know how to fix this?

Go to Lowes or Home Depot or something, and take off the senor that threads into the manifold with you, and find something Brass or some pipe fitting and make a "T".. Find one "stem" like pipe piece that sticks up about 2-3inches with another piece that threads into the top part and plug in the 2 other senors on the sides of that and your good to go.. I had to make one for my car about 2 weeks ago.. cost me about 4 bucks.. if you need pics or something just PM me and i'll try and make it happen..
Good luck, PLus you might wanna get a PI intake lol...

I think the best bet for those doing the PI swap with an all plastic intake is to have a bung welded into the T-stat housing...a T isn't gonna be as accurate.

I still say you just get the PI intake with the Aluminum crossover, being as you'll be replacing your manifold eventually anyways. Might as well do it when you don't have to worry about spraying coolant everywhere and aren't crunched for time to fix the issue.
