This car is great fun to drive! I was a little worried about the reviews complaining about supercharger whine but the only time I ever notice it is when the boost kicks in under heavy throttle and then I actually enjoy hearing it The only mod I have planned is a pair of Flowmaster 40s so I can better hear the exhaust.

Thats the question...what looks good? All I see is a little bit of red and a couple shiny objects you could call wheels.

Take some pictures during the day, those night shots you can't even see the car. I think it looks good though.

Sorry about the crappy pic - I'll take some better pics this weekend where you can actually see the car I already dusted a Z28 this morning on my way to work. I was in left lane going about 15 mph and rapidly running out of room as I was approaching a truck that was going very slow cuz it had just started accelerating from a traffic light. The right lane had the Z28 and he was slowed to about the same speed as me cuz there was a car that just made a right turn in front of him. That left me with an opening to squeeze into the right lane before I'd run out of room with the truck ahead of me. So I give it some decent throttle that would allow me to squeeze ahead of the Z28 if he was driving normal - but when the guy realizes what I'm gonna do I hear him gun it so then I mash the gas and I walk right by him like he's standing still

Hey all, I was playing around with photoshop and wanted to see what it would look like debadged, see debadged pics below. I'm thinking it looks pretty wicked without the blue oval and all the chrome animal badges, plus I think it might make me a little more stealthy to the unsuspecting F body driver who keeps a look out for the little Cobra on the side when I pull up beside him (I know they do this cuz I used to do it myself when I drove a '97 Mystic Teal Z28 Vert ). Let me know if you like it debadged or not - my feelings won't be hurt either way.

Nice ride

Straight through non-chambered mufflers sound much better on a Cobra IMHO. There are many brands of cat-backs out there.

One of the best Cobra sites is svtperformance. Check out the Terminator forum.

Here are a few vids of my car. I have the stock h-pipe and Borla Stingers. These are loud. The Magnaflows sound real good and they are not as loud.

Awesome car I would leave the badges on it, you bought the car to have a Cobra, not let everyone know you have one Where in Fl. are you located at if you dont mind me asking.

Leave the Cobra badges on it or other Mustang drivers will think you are a V6 poser who hasn't fully completed his change over. If you don't mind my asking, did you get any good deals on it?

Thanks for the compliments everyone - I think I'll leave the badges on for now

duner thanks for the tips on the mufflers/catback - from what I've been reading it sounds like the stock system is fairly restrictive and a catback will add some nice hp so I'll definitely look into getting one - I'd like to get down to the mid 12 sec range so I can beat stock C5s and give Z06s a good run, but I don't want to do anything to void the warranty yet.

Steeda I'm in central Fla.

manicmustangman yes I "think" I got a good deal, there was a $3k rebate on top of what was already an on sale price so my OTD price was less than the invoice price listed on Edmunds. Of course it's gonna be a dated design in the next month or two so the resale prices will presumably take a big hit but I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a 6spd 390hp ragtop

What city? I'm in Lake Mary. All the mustang guys locally go to Lamotta Performance in longwood off 17-92. Best shop in town, honest guys who won't bull***** you and know exactly what theyre talking about. I go to them for everything from oil changes to gears, they take care of everything on my car. If your not to far from longwood I would recommend you going to them over anybody else for work on your car.
