Car still hasn't even gone in for it's first oil change and I have to replace my whole tire for a nail in the sidewall. It hurts my feelers seeing it with the donut on it for a bit. I am debating on picking up a pair of 17" rims with stock tires for the winter anyways and just leaving the 18's in the garage. Later I can swap them with drag radials on at the track anyways. Am I going to experience problems buying factory take off 05-07 17's as far as difference in suspension or the tire pressure alert thing? Btw, ford's price on 18 inch goodyear installed is $187.

sorry to hear about the tire already. i am not sure how ford uses the TPMS on the stangs. is it just a sensor in the valve stem, or something else?

I had one three months into having my stang too and on the corner and they wont patch that either. My 16" tires are only 95 bucks tho.

93Grunt, have you checked tire rack to see what you can get a tire from them for? I know here in town they can beat any shops price by at least $20/tire. I've saved money even after paying a shop to mount and balance them. I've been getting my tires and tire/wheel combos from them for years now...VERY satisfied!!!!!

According to the owner's manual for the 2007, it is a band device with the sensor 180 degrees from the valve stem.

Tirerack doesn't carry the factory tire. However there is a silver lining, it seems that discount tire carries that exact tire for 90 bucks. Taking it in tomorrow and getting it put on that isn't so bad.
