this was a shell a good freind of mine purchased and turned into a cool resto mod/open track car

we were able to get a set of 17 by 10.5 " wheels on back with no rubbing issues 17 by 9" in front the car sports a very torquey 347 with a five speed

Thanks for posting those inspirational pics. I am in the far end of a long dark tunnel right now, seeing those helps make that light way down there a bit brighter... Good lookin ride.

That's a very pretty car. I don't know how good it looks up close, but from these shots it's a whole lot sexier than it started...

one problem, should've gotten the right little cap thingy's on the back of the rear quarters to match the ducktail. other than that ... *drool*

that build took just over 3 months. I was just consulting on it. the owner didnt want the ducktail rear fender extensions. The car actually looks pretty good up close. We put a maer racing suspension with a panhard bar. the car will be used for open track events. dont have any interior pics, other than some aftermarket seats its pretty plain jane. chris

What backspacing did you use on the wheels and what tires/size did you go with? Any modification to make it fit without rubbing?

So the flares are 67-68 sheet metal?? Did you use the 67-68 outer wheel well half??
What was done to the front, any wider??

the storie goes like this. When the shell was purchased it came with fiberglass rear fender flares. the previuos owner had already made the cut outs for the flares. but the saving grace was that the origional fenders were saved. so instead of going with the fiber glass we put the origionals back on and massaged them a little see pics of the "straps" in the weel well. the wheels are late deep dish bullits. the rear end was out of a 67 so we needed a .50" spacer in back and a 1.5" int he front. chris
