if my current intake w. EGR spacer will bolt on to this fine, i will probably go with this.
That's a Ford explorer intake without the EGR passage. It will work, but you are deleting the EGR.
I'd keep looking. The 96-97 (with the internal EGR) ones pop up for sale if you are patient. I'd even check local classifieds or FB groups for one for sale. Like I said before, going rate for "local" sales of explorer intakes is about $100 for the upper/lower plus usually the TB.

location?@acoddo I will look what I have in the shop when I get home, I believe I have the upper you need on a shelf.
What is the benefit to keeping EGR/ deleting EGR? all i know is it has to do with recirculating exhaust through the engine somehow.They are all the same other than the provision for the EGR in the upper. I'd seek out one of those as they also have beefier mounting flanges where it bolts to the lower
