Pilot bearing issue

Hey all... I am having a bit of an issue with a new pilot bearing LOL .. I snapped the main shaft ( right behind 2nd gear) in my '84 5.0 borg warner 5spd.. I purchased an '88 tbird turbo coupe 5spd borg warner 5spd to replace it. ( only difference is the input shaft is the same as a 4banger smaller than the 5.0).. simple enough i change the pilot bearing .. now the problem the OUTSIDE diameter is too small as well.. any ideas on how I can fix it?

The pilot bearings on the 4 cly. are different sizes. You have to get the right bearing for a T-5 V-8 tranny. The transmissions are not the same. The 4 cyl. is a T-3, hence the difference.
