After many years now I finally get my dream car, a 2012 Mustang GT/CS fully loaded. After just 3 days of driving I am getting a suspension clunk. I haven't tore into the car at all nor turned on the traction control...I have been trying to break it in right. I started investigating this clunk (first felt friday night in the gas pedal BARELY, but Saturday it started getting bad so the car is parked and waiting until tomorrow morning when the service department opens. I fully expect to be there a full hour early waiting for them when they arrive. So I popped the hood, looked under the car, checked out the end links, etc and everything seemed in check. Then I looked at it again a little bit later because I was sure I missed something and I'll be darn....the strut tower brace moved about a half and inch on the passenger side and I noticed some paint flake on the two bolts that dont mount the strut brace. I went over the the drive side and the front fenderside strut bolt shifted about a half inch as well. Not cool and the dealership is going to hear about this. I come back from Afghanistan with 7 months of mustangipation knowing I was buying one when I got home and I dont have it even three days before its parked. What a freaking bummer.

Yeah it was both. I am worried about the sub-frame being tightened right too. The creak I was getting was a bad lower control arm bushing according to the dealer. They didnt reset the strut bolts yet because they had to order the part. Pretty sad that my baby only made it 3 days before it needed to visit the shop =( Had me depressed big time. I have spent years working up to this, but hopefully the part comes in, they toss it on, reset the bolts and double check the remaining bolts and components, do an alignment it necessary, and im good to go.

Your welcome for the service....I do it for the best people in the world =)

lol

Pops! What is up?!?! I see you found your way over to Stangnet =) Not a whole lot of action going on over here...I am on these forums all day and just not a ton of traffic =(

I took some pics of the stang the other day. I have to resize them and I am working on creating a sweet signature block.

Update

To update this post: Got the car back from the dealer a few hours after the part came in. She drives live a dream like she did before, just no squeek/creak in the front end. LOVE THESE CARS! Absolutley obsessed.:nice:

I can take that 2012 off your hands.......

Hard to take something I wont keep my hands off of ;) 700 miles on her already! Still havent opened her up or turned off the traction control, but every time I fire the Night-Mare (my name for her) up and hear that rumble I wanna unleash that pony in a fury from her stable.

Lol. You have a real nice stang, but you know I cant take you up on that offer. :nono: As far as tint goes, mine would be already but the shop is booked up a week out and I will be in Disney, so I have to wait until I get back :(

I am also thinking about getting the 3M invisible bra to keep from rock chips, etc. Gotta protect the paint and scared to get it all chipped/salt and peppered.

Anywho, drive your 07 out here and lets go for a father/son cruise :D

Cool! Thanks for the follow-up/update.

I waited until I cleared 1200 miles before turning TC off...plus its still been pretty cold here (temps around 40s during the day).

Got 1500 miles on her now and I'm starting to open her up and play a bit :nice:

Amazing car all around!!!
