The rockers look brand new and so do the pushrods .

Yep, they certainly do. They tend to change to a shade of violet after a few heat cycles.

Hoping to get to it over the next two weekends. Just need to get some odds and ends like coolant, oil and filter for a 50 mile oil change, some assembly lube and more thread sealant. I'm very meticulous and tend to take my time.

Gonna be a full couple of days with the fuel pump install and HCI change, Trying to get a hookup- the guy I bought the heads off has a warehoue with a lift. Really good guy- we talked for about an hour. He's building a turbo coupe and we know all the same guys @ UPR, Thunder, and other shops. That will come in real handy when it's time to swap the VB and install trans cooler.

I'll try and get some pics posted .

I feel you on taking your time i like to do things fast but this time i took my time as well and added all new stuff instead of going the 160k mile motor route and i hope it pays off.

that depends on the work done to them, but i agree. hopefully you can get them for closer to $800. as for the pedestal mounts, no big deal there, they work just fine.

With rockers.....not really. I've seen them go for $800 without them, so he's right in the ballpark.

Just sold a set up mine for $650.00 fully assembled. I was told by Tim at MPR they weren't even worth $650.00 fully assembled. Yes, different heads off different cars but same basic principle here.

Either way, just trying to help a fellow member out. If he thinks the price is fair (clearly he did since he purchased them) good for him, that's all that matters is he is happy. Wish the best for the OP.

X2 @650$ that's a steal. I think at 1000$ with what you got is a descent deal. I'd be happy with that. Now if you could of got them for 650$...I'd be reselling and stepping up to an even better head. Just sayin'

almost did. Saw a guy that had a set of TW 170's with TW 1.6 RR, pushrods and ARP bolts for $1000. Had them listed for 3 hours and were sold.

Still happy with what I got. I don't see pro comp chinese made crap heads going for $650- not that I would want those.

They were spoken for months ago, other wise I would have. But you seem to be happy, that's all that matters.

Perhaps I am. But when one of the top guys in the Industry tells you what your heads are worth, you feel guilty for selling them for a higher price.

Maybe different markets?
