Anybody ever have the plastic tubing in the autometer gauge sets go bad on them? I was reading a thread that they harden up and crack eventually - spilling oil into the interior. Is the tubing good or not good? Also is there an alternative like flextubing-etc, besides going electical?

My mechanical Autogage oil psi gauge came with a plastic line. I promptly tossed it into the trash and used the $8 dollar Autometer copper line kit. That is the cure to your concerns.

Can always run down to your local ACE Hardware and ask for some 1/8" copper tubing and two brass ferrules. Have had the same piece in my '66 for 26 years now - no problems
not to get off topic or jack the thread here, but this got me thinking, that plastic and copper tubing for the guages, it wouldn't happen to be about the same size as those crappy stock plastic vacuum lines would it??
