wow now your talkin out of my league. This was all done with the hazard switch off.

Ok I went outside and made some better connections and I have power at the Orange wire with yellow stripe. I followed your steps. There is power at fuse and at the relay, there is power up at the hazard in the blue wire and as well as the orange wire with yellow strip, there is also power to the back of the turn switch at the orange/yellow wire. What should I look for next. To me it sounds like all is getting power, am i missing somethign obvious?

continuity is just continuous. like a piece of wire-if there is a break in the wire(so power can not flow) it does not have continuity.

all we're doing is making sure the power can flow from one pin(O/Y) to the other(LB). if it CANNOT then the hazard switch is bad.

you would use an OHM meter to measure/check it. most voltage meters have an Ohm meter built in.

if you jump those 2 pins at the harness will the turn signals work??

the hazard lights work, correct?? if so then i would say your turn signal switch is bad.

cjones, thanks for the diagram. I printed it and will try to get motivated to ring out the wires again. I do have hazzard and reverse lights, just never connected the NSS when i did the trans swap. I have had some loose wires at the multi and headlight switches. I did secure them last time but do to the age of the plastic, each mate/demate is suspect of damaging the contact locking feature.

Can the ignition switch, mentioned in this thread http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=710917,
cause the turn signals to not work? I didn't see it in the diagram.

depends, do you have power at fuse # 5 with the key on??

if you do, the ignition switch is not the prob.

if you don't, then it could be your prob.

Thanks cjones, I just verified power, 11.94 vdc on fuse #5 with key in run.

cjones, in the wiring diagram, what is the color code for wire #385 (W/R, i don't have a red/white wire) mating to the hazzard warning switch? Measuring voltage on the connector that mates to the hazzard warning switch, I have 12 volts on the lt. blue wire that mates to Pin "S" in the switch, and 12 volts on the flesh colored wire that mates to Pin "E" in the switch.

#385 is White with Red Stripe. if you hazards work don't worry about it.

the Orange with Yellow stripe might look flesh colored. i don't have a connector view of the hazard switch to see pin #s.

do you have voltage at the MFS O/Y wire??

cjones, thanks for continuing to help, hopefully kdubs is getting info as well. Do I check the MFS O/Y at the hazzard switch or pull the connector off the MSF? I have the column closed up right now, so it may be Thursday before I get a chance to open it back up.

HOLY ****!!! AFTER 2 YEARS I HAVE TURN SIGNALS!!! A tremendous thanks goes to CJONES for the excellent diagram as well as motivating me to get off my old ass (48). What I found was I had 12 volts on the o/y wire at the MFS. So I'm like WTF, it's a new Ford switch from mustnags unlimited and can't be bad so I begin looking at the wire positions in the harness connector. Suddenly it hit me, I had a couple wires come out way back when I did the trans swap, o/y and lt-grn/white. Side by side in the connector I had put the o/y in an unsed (wrong) location in the harness connector, moved it over and signals work!! In the cooler months I'd arm signal, but always felt like a prick if it was raining or A/C was on and window closed and couldn't arm signal.
