i have an s197 2008 mustang gt with multiple codes, p0141 and 161, p0152,p061b,p1000,and p2196 and 2198.
i have replaced o2 sensors on bank 1 and 2 (the front ones, i am gonna purachase mil eliminators for the cats 02s) i have replaced the throttle body, i have replaced the air filter with a nice knn stock filter. the problem i have is when i start the car it sounds kinda like its misfiring and when i let the clutch off and give it gas will die then jolt to 2k rpms and go (doesnt happen everytime though). the car will die when trying to start (not all the time but happens frequently). the car will be alright for a few minutes of driving but after awhile the wrench light will pop and i loose engine power. its not exactly limp mode though its more like a cut in power. can someome please show me what i need to fix? ive been trying to fix this for a month now.

That eliminates clogged cats. Sounds like a fuel issue. How about the fuel filter?

i havent checked fuel filter, i asked on another forum too somebody said it could be alternator if its misfiring without a misfire code

It's possible but you would have battery issues. My experience with the alternator is accessories shut down one by one until the car died. Look at the MAF and see if it's dirty. Change the fuel filter.

Were the codes set after it started acting up or before? Sounds like the emissions codes were set before and the rest after it started acting up.

Sounding more and more like a fuel issue. Go with the fuel filter 1st. Have you added fuel in that 4 months?

It's possible that unmetered air is getting into the engine. Make sure all the connections from air filter to throttle body are airtight, and perform a smoke test to rule out a leaking intake manifold runner gasket.

The rear O2's shouldn't cause drivability problems. At least in my experience they haven't. Now the battery is another story. Did you have it tested?

Check the MAF as well. A little electrical cleaner should do the trick if it's dirty.

yes i had it tested today along with the alternator. the cca went from 590 to 433. ive cleaned the maf sensor twice with maf cleaner and it has the same problems still.

As long as the battery is charging you should be OK even if it's a little diminished. I assume you've checked spark plugs? Coils should be ok since you don't have a misfire code. Check your fuel pressure too. I'm pointing toward the simple, inexpensive stuff first.
