Please Help Quick!

I am buying new rims and tires today. I just bought new rims two summers ago and they chipped like crazy. The rims were 17x9 and my tires were 235/45/17. I am buying new black saleen rims(replica of course) and I was wondering if I buy 245/40/18's will my rims chip around the edges like they did last time? The rims are 18x9.

Why would you run a 235 on a rim designed for 275's??????????

wow, i hope that was a typo. i don't even think its physically possible to run 235's on a 9" rim



you'll need 275 minimum on a 17x9 or 18x9 for it to even look right

I have seen 245's on a 9" rim, looks like AZZ !!!

yeah that was a typo i meant 245 and yeah it does look like ass, i ended up going with a 18x9 saleen gunmetal with 275/40/18's. Is that a good size?
