Please help with stupid thermostat

What about drilling the two small holes in the stat?

Drill two small holes on either side of the stat. I would find the smallest bit that you can get your hands on.

This helps with air bubbles in the system.

Okay, I fixed my tstat problem. It was air in the system as suspected and advised. I didnt drill a hole in the tstat but just kept squeezing the piss out of the bottom and upper hoses till no more air came out. Thanks for your responses.

NOW.....I'm down to problem #2, also my final problem. After removing my 76mm C&L MAF, the computer has unrecognized it apparantly. I have a very crappy idle along with a rich condition that tears my eyes and lights that fade aggressivly due to the rough idle. Now before you jump all over the C&L brand due to whatcha've heard, this MAF ran fine on my '95 and ran fine on the '94 before I recently took it off.

This is what I have done to help solve the problem (to no avail of course):

1. Cleaned the MAF sensor
2. Cleaned the IAT sensor and also swapped with a new one (no difference)
3. Indexed the IAT correctly
4. Cleared the computer twice according to:http://www.corral.net/tech/maintenance/idlereset.html
5. Cleaned out the TB with TB cleaner
6. Took the car out and ran it hard for 10 minutes

The only thing that seemed to help was to unhook the harness from the main connection on the inside of the fender that connects to the IAT and the MAF. The idle cleared right up at that point. However I know that is not how its supposed to run and it is only a bandaid.

Any advice? Please help!!

Thanks
Chris
