well... since tom did the pi swap and had success with gapping the plugs at .035, wouldnt you trust him? lots of stuff changes when you bump up compression and all that good stuff, I'd listen to him
yes i did listen to him,and yes it did pick up the performance :nice:
it pulls alot harder now.i didn't think gapping the plugs would help out that much.i'm still getting a tune after i get my jlt cold air and headers.
thanks tom and everyone else who helped.

 Doubt all you want...I have the time slip copy since we were running against each other... :nice:

Oh and Charles...I need to borrow those drag radials... :D

So your saying that with stock NPI heads, and stock NPI lower intake he was trapping 98? No way. He is barely getting that now with the swap. the NPI intake is way the heck to restricive to make any power. If he had the PI intyake, then i would belive you, but a real NPI motor trapping 98 is pretty hard to believe. Dont tell me he pulled everything but his front teeth for the race either, because if there was a lot of weight reduction that would do it.

Wait a minute...NOW when i say "with a NPI motor" I am refering to a NPI head/intake equiped engine, NOT a PI swapped 98 motor. I belive that he trapped 98 with the PI swap, I think you guys missunderstood me LOL. He said that he spent all this money on the swap and is running about the same as it did before the swap....so I said that there was no way it would have trapped 98 before the swap. Thats what I meant LOL.

hey man i think we all misunderstood each other :p
my best run before the swap was a 14.39 @96mph.it was cooler out when i ran that.i think after gapping the plugs and getting a tune after i put my jlt cold air and long tubes on will perk me up to what its suppose to be.
thanks all for the help!
i don't know what i and many others would do w/out this site :nice:
