Last night I picked up some Accel 8.8 mm Spiralcore wires for my sparkplugs, installed them and noticed that the boots on the wires were very long compared to stock. Seeing this, I was under the impression (stupid me :bang: ) that they could take the heat produced by the headers that, without a doubt, they would be touching. Not the case, 20 minutes later, after taking it for a short drive, I start it up, and realize i'm running on less than 8 cyls, go check, and the wire going to plug 4 was burnt to a crisp, right down to that wonderful spiral core they talk about so proudly. There was nothing I could do, really, those boots are huge. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, what did you do to remedy it?

I went through 2 sets of FRPP wires before I switched to LiveWires. Best wire on the market. It is too hard to keep the wires from touching something that gets hot. These wires are completely covered with heat sheething. Kinda pricey at about a $100.
