very nicely done man. looks great. I don't have any of the polished parts in my engine bay sealed. I just take some compound to them every once and a while.

I'm experimenting with my polished calipers now. I sprayed one with a clear, high temp engine paint and left the other bare. I'm curious to see if the clear coated one will actually stay clear and not yellow.

Very nice - I don't clear mine. I tried that in the past, nothing but trouble.

I've heard good things about "Zoop" sealer, but it's expensive and requires recoating. I'm not interested in trying that out personally

It took me about 10 hours on the alt. There was a lot of time learning. I like to use a Black Emory stick and a treated ventilated buff.

You just rub it on by hand and with a rag? What compound do you use for that?

I don't seal mine with anything either. Just use some polishing compound every once and awhile. No problems to date.

Ah the love/hate of polishing aluminum...your work looks great! I also like to use a 90degree grinder (air) with 3" cotton buffs and white rouge..that being after sanding with 120-240-400 by hand.

Nice blue accents on yout 3G. It's funny because I already started painting mine red and I was wondering how it would look. Good job on yours.
