Hey dudes been a while. I have been busy shackin' up with my girl friend and lookin' for a new job. The shackin' is done and I have a second interview on Monday. Now then back to II's
Have you dudes seen the April issue of Popular Hot Rodding??? I usually don't buy that rag but, it has a really kool 1976 Cobra II in it. What I found really interesting is with minor suspension mods and some sticky Toyo RA1's it was able to pull .99G and the dude who tests cars for a living said ...."that it was the fastest car we've ever tested in the slalom". (48.1 MPH in the 420' slalom). The really interesting part is the guy claims he has only $6000 in the car. The suspension on the car is stock up front with trimmed springs, poly bushings KYB gas adjusts and a manual? flamming river rack. (saw no P/S pump in the pictures). The rear suspension really peaks my interest. Have you dudes ever heard of Flex-A-Form fiberglass leaf springs?? The rear has a 225lb/in set with KYB GR2's and the car has factory sway bars. The car also rides on II fender clearance friendly 205/50R15 front and 225/50R15 rears. The rear quarters are slightly flared, but a guy could fit those tires with proper offset wheels. I am goin' surfin for those springs. Happy Easter dudes
