Possible Donor Granada

Well good news came from my dad today that we might have found the Granada to use for the swap. The First order of buisness would obviously be the disc brakes, but couldn't the V8 suspension be used with the mustang? I figured I would use the suspension on this car and convert the I6 suspension to a V8 suspension with the addition of some new shocks of course. I'm not sure of the year yet and i'm not even positive we will get this car but it is up in the air now. Just wanted to know if both the discs and sus. could be used.

Thanks :D

Make sure it is an 8 cyl. car.
The I-6 cars have 5 lugs and discs, but the brakes are much smaller and the spindles are "light duty".
When you are asking about the suspension, what do you mean?
The spindles would have to go with the brakes, the steering doesn't matter, the rear (8 or 9) would swap direct...
Are you concerned about upper and lower A arms?
Springs?
I don't know about the arms.
I would think the front springs would work.
The rear springs, I am not so sure of, but they just might.
I hope this helps some...
You probably were wondering about the arms though, sorry I was no help there.

sounds like you're contemplating getting a whole granada for the parts?.. it can be done (probably.. dunno what you're paying for whole granada) much cheaper by going to the local pull-it-yourself junkyard and you wont have to worry about disposing of a car that wont roll around

Spindles, brakes and outer tie rod ends only. Upper and lower control arms and everything else is different. 65-66 suspension is all different dimensions that anything produced after 66, they look the same but thats about it
