Post combos of 351 based strokers

I think my next project is gonna be a N/A stroked 351. I will probably buy a shortblock stroked to 427, etc ($$). Now, based on that what have you guys seen for the best h/c/i combos for an engine like this? Im talking hp/ tq.

Low-5.0 has the most kick a$$ 351 based stroker i have seen, check his sig.

get a pre-1975 or post 1985 block. 75-85 were not good

my combo is similar to his in some ways ... 408 (+/-) flavor, AFR heads, custom cam, kooks headers.

he has AFR 225s, mine are AFR 205s.

he has a Victor EFI intake, mine will be a RPM intake. I'm going for a lower rpm range

he puts down 449 at the wheels

i don't have dyno numbers yet. it is still being put together. i am hoping for 450 at the wheels too

That right there is why i want a combo like that. That car must be fun as hell on the street. that kind of torque down low is crazy!

A friend of mine has the same combo as mine, except his is a 427, TFS stage 3 cam, and Spyder intake w/90mm tb. Here's his dyno sheet.

i'll say this ... i'd take low-5.0's combo over his friend's, 10 hp or not, just look at that torque curve
