post dumb race stories...

I only "raced" once with mine but my tires were beyond worn, they had that nice metal brush wires sticking out lol

I said to my cousin and another friend that I'd go just to get a feeling so I won't be too nervous when I go for real. This was a friday night and they have the "street races" held there. There aren't any times and it's just a red/green light tree. So my cousin and I went at it, I didn't want to get beat by a ricer in a civic because I refused to shift beyond 4000rpm and couldn't give her too much gas with the tires I had on.

Well I managed to hold my own since I was at my cousin's door the whole way down the track shifting at a max of 4200rpm at one point.

Now my cousin goes around everywhere telling us fox body owners that our cars are crap because he managed to beat an old and beat-to-death 4 eye fox on the street. In his mind we are all in the mid 15's to high 16's He was suprised that I held my own despite the finished tires and dead engine (no oil pressure, smokes oil, and knocks) lol. He tells me he missed a few shifts. Then he told his brother and friends I know that he beat me by 10 car lengths at the track!

Well we're going at it again, this time with timeslips. So there will be proof. Hell I'll try and get someone to film the event. I'm adding some 3:73 gears and a few little other secret mods so I can tear him a new one with a, what he thinks, a somewhat stock fox body. So far I have an electric fan, shorty headers, o/r x-pipe, and I'm installing some Ford Racing underdrive pullies this week. He sais that my car will be in the low 15's still with these mods. He doesn't know what a lightweight notchback and a good driver can do. He also doesn't know about the gears that are going in there before the race.

I know it's wrong of me but I need to humiliate him. It's the ONLY way to shut him up. BTW he has a stock 95GT minus the A/C delete, gutted cats, cherry bomb glassbacks with turndowns, and deleted smog pump. Hardly a challenge

Oh and a funny "race" some guy in a mini-van was racing with me, trying to cut me off via the right lane. I just played with him, prettending to be real nervous and whatnot just staying next to him until it started to get dangerous (his lane finishing) so I just pressed the "make me wet and horny, honey" pedal and left him in a cloud of burnt oil smoke

the other night on 40 i was just cruising heading home and this kid pulls up next to me in a fake saleen v6 with 4 people in it. we were going about 75 mph and he was just sitting next to me and everyone in the car was looking over at my car. well the kid starts to jump a little so i just let him go. well after about 4 miles of he drops back and starts to do it again. well i had enough and when he jumped and dropped it into 4th and walked past him like he was sitting still. i dont think i got over 85 mph before i was past him. stupid kids

I was cruising down the freeway a couple of saturdays ago , heading over to my buddies house when this eclipse gst/gsx pulls up and starts hissing his blowoff valve at me. So i reach back and turn on my bottle and pull a $20 bill outta my wallet and show it to him, he shakes his head yes and drops a gear, i purge my line and drop a gear and he starts waiving his hands and shaking his head saying no he doesn't want any. I'm like whatever and turn off my bottle and keep cruising. He follows me till i exit and then pulls up to me at the light and says "why you gotta spray?" LMFAO i say "why you gotta turbo" lol. Light turns green and he burns his tires and takes off and i just turn and head towards my buddies house.


Then this past saturday i was trying to setup a little money race with a srt4, he was game till he saw the bottle in my hatch , then he wanted me to give him some land. I was like f that you got a turbo i got nitrous, power adder vs power adder. This fool says " Yeah but yours is a chemical" . He still wouldn't race me heads up (for free) even when i offered to take the bottle out.

I like how some idiots think that Nitrous automatically makes a car ungodly faster than anything on the street for some reason.

i was on I-5 (yes a race from a roll story but still) This black cobra passes me, i glanced at it and i though it was a 03', so i took off and caught him, tried to get a nod out of him, then all of the sudden no honks he just hits it, i was on it a nano second later, he got me for a sec(still had the stock gears then) then i pullled away and got like ten car lenghs ahead, and slowed down we did this a couple of times and then he takes off at like 90 after we slow down the last time, i slowed down becuase i can't afford another ticket but a challenge was a challenge was a challenge, i never got a good look at the hood so i am assuming it was a 01 or something(pretty sure no blower wine) but not bad for a h/c/i auto with the stock gears. When she was bone stock(talkin air silencer) i beat a 99 gt with a intake and stuff, then the dumbass lied about how his dad was driving or he won or some crap for like three years, he takes it a little to seriously

ill call bs on you beating a cobra with stock gears. maybe you have more mods than 17 ich "r"s. unless the guy was in like 5th gunning it.

I somehow got talked into racing a stock early 90s Cavalier one night..When I shut down I had at least 10 lengths on him, even with a slipping torque converter (from a stop). I pretty much vowed right then and there to never run in an organized street race again.

I know 5.0's are way faster than a 2.8 or a 3.1 Cavalier but...............for a Cavalier they are balzy little fu-cker's aren't they...I had an 88 Z24 and I had alot of fun with it. My Girlfriend has a 94 Z24 with a 3.1....feel's verry slow after my car lol.

my friend has one, lets just say i burnt his toast, in my buick.
