It's very easy to service it. Take off the bolts, use a razor to clean around the edge of the rear and the cover, may as well spray paint the cover while it's off, and you dont need a sealer or gasket, just bolt it back on and fill properly.
Oh, btw, i've noticed, after more evaluation, it's not a knock, it's more of a clatter, but soo soo slight, only noticable from idle to 1800 rpm or so, in neutral, ya know just tappin the gas. Driving it's not noticable at all, certainly not under a load, like say, in 4th gear on a hill at 2000rpm, giving gas to accel up hill, if there were an engine problem, I think i'd hear it then. I think im good to go for another 30-40 k. I dont beat it really, and I use the best oil filter and royal purple oil, which gets changed every 2k miles.
