Well, stopped by to check on my brackets today at the powdercoater B.K. Industrial in Merrimack, NH and all I can say is They did a great job. Very impressed in all aspects. Here's some pics. I had the 2 big brackets done, vortech steel bracket, tensioner, and the bracket that holds the coil.

Would also like to thank rio for bead blasting them for me before the powdercoating. I wasn't sure what I was gonna do. I was gonna just clear coat them, but then I found out about B.K. Industrial from a friend of mine that has his quad stuff done there.

$250 for everything. I was gonna get it chromed, but the chromer told me it wouldn't turn out that good, plus I'm sure it would have been a lot more money. The funny thing is that I had 400 colors to choose from with the powdercoating.

Very Nice! I was looking at Eastwoods hotcoating system and trying it myself. But, after seeing your brackets I will probably get it done professionally because I'm sure it wouldn't turn out that nice.
Did any of the powdercoating get into the bolt hole threads causing problems? They must have some way of keeping the spray out of the holes?

From what I can tell they use cork to fill in the holes while they are spraying. Their website is http://www.bkindustrial.com

Powder coating IS the only way to go and it will last a long time and its easy to clean!!

Your stuff looks good Looks like the Mirror Chrome? did they Clear over the top of it cause it looks alot shinnyer than mine. Nice stuff and well worth the $$

This is what I started with...

How can powdercoating look like it has a mirror finish. Id tink that paint wouldn't have that quality to it.

It's not a perfect mirror finish, but it looks as close to chrome as you can get. I am very pleased with the work that was done. I'd have to say, If I didn't already polish my upper intake, I would have to powdercoat it.

My intake is powdered Id rather have it polished though... My pulleys are called "almost chrome" and that must be covered in Clear powder to presereve it. My brackets are in Morror black and they are just that Mirror blace finish! the black is my favoreite color for the powder.

Ill be doing it on the side too by the end of summer. I just need to get some stuff built.

What intake do you have? (onebad95)

it looks good man the color is mirror silver, chromium or reflective chrome is usually what powdercoaters refer to it as.. $250 is kinda high buy looks good and i hope you got a clearcoat on it becaue all silvers, transparents and other colors need a uv protectant to eliminate the chance of fading and getting torched by the sun or uv action.... i do powdercoating as well here in houston for a bunch of clubs but here are some pics of my work www.houstonstreetwars.com/powder if anybody want to see them..
