Took the power steering and ac off the car but I just need to know what size belt I need to run now. I still need to keep the air pump because of emissions "I havent gone through this year yet" Usually i'd just measure out with some string and come up with a size for a belt but I thought i'd post first and see what I come up with.

You can bypass the air pump for now. It isn't as vital to emmissions as you would think. I passed once without having it hooked up.

Unfortunately, you are gonna have to try the string trick to measure it out.

Also, you need to reverse the tensioner to pull up. There really is no way to run the belt with the tensioner pushing down.

Do a reason on "reversing tensioner"

The best thing to do is take a measuring tape and run it around the pullies as if it's the belt. You should come up with the right size this way. I'd prefer to buy at least two, just to play it safe...good luck!

Yeah I wish I could leave the smog pump off, but I live in AZ and out here they do a visual inspection and make sure everything is hooked up which really sucks. I was looking at march's elimanator bracket look's like that might be the way to go if I cant fine the right size belt after I measure it out.

What is this smog pump supposed to do?

This is the pulley located at the bottom, on the right side of the motor right?

I was thinking about bypassing this aswell

Basically, it just pumps fresh air in to the exhaust to oxygenate it, thereby supposedly reducing emissions.

You can bypass the pulley, but if you ever plan on using the smog pump again (i.e. at inspection time,) pray that your pump didn't seize up from sitting that long without running.
