I believe in a few weeks. The first guy on the list is here in Cincinnati and is getting it installed and tuned here so keep an eye out for results.

Ken

Thanks for the update Ken.. please put in a good word for me.. I got the engine all apart and I'm doing a nice buildup.. I'd like to get this thing asap!! :nice:

Congrats Ken on bein in the 5.0 June issue. And to think we all thought our motor's were turds a few years ago lol. Mine's still a turd untill next week when vortech and spearco parts arrive. Good luck with it. If you ever run the car on the east coast let me know.

I saw it asked in a previous post but I think I missed it somewhere... What Compression Ratio did you end up with? Was the CR strictly done with the pistons or were the heads or block shaved somehow???

I hope that is not prying too much, just curious...

Sure are sweet numbers!!!

There was minor work chambers, swirl damns are in place. I'm running CP flat tops with valve reliefs. Compression is in the 12 - 12.5:1 range.

Thanks everyone for support, I can't wait to hit the track!

Well I dont know how insane those heads are, but YOUR POWER IS IN YOUR HEADS.I would have them 5 axis fully port&pollished with a major rework done to hold even larger valves, open up the itake runners, and free up the exhaust side a bit too. If I am right, I believe those heads only flow in the area of 220 CFM @ .600 on the intake.Now all that is pretty expencive, but you will pay it if you cant hit 10s with your current setup LOL.Anyways I am not sure about what else you have, but try an electric water pump, will save you alot in high RPMs.BTW you have a stock crank in there????Can a stock crank hold up to 7000-7500 RPM runs?Thanks.

Kind of an out of the air question that goes along with topic here..

What is the consensus of the max na rwhp on the 4.6 mod block? I know the 5.4 dohc guys are capable of some big numbers but its a bit more costly.. Any ideas what the max for a 4.6 is, even with a big bore/stroker?

Thanks =)
