What preset gears do the hypertech/predator programmers come with? Do u have to tell them what gears you have or they just come with a variety of settings ie..3:27.3:55,3:73,4:10,4:30 etc.......

Interesting question. When I flashed mine with the Predator, I had a choice of 3.55, 3.73, 4.09, and 4.30. I don't remember if it allowed anything further. The speedometer is dead on, though, as proven by my having to go to traffic school Monday night. :nonono: 55 in a 35. :owned:

With the Hypertech, you have to choose from a variety of preset gears.
It goes from 3.27 to 4.56 including all FRPP gears and even the 3.90 .

Did you like your hypertech? Did you notice any gains from it? Any problems? :)

I noticed some guys on this post choosing the predator over the hyper's programmers. Ive read write ups on both and they are pretty even, hyper can detect and erase codes as well with the new programmer. So is diablo a better company cause ive heard many good and not many bad things about them both. Guess its a matter of preference...I mainly want the hyper to raise the rev lim(6200), shiff improvement(auto), shift points(4:10 or 4:30's gears) and tweak the timing.

I noticed the same thing on mine (4.09 instead of 4.10). I mean to call DiabloSport, but haven't yet. Hopefully that .01 difference won't cause an issue. Anyone know why they chose 4.09? Or is it just a "bug" in the software?

I doubt it will cause any problems. Like I mentioned, my speedometer is dead on. Could be the programmers at Diablo are Beach Boys fans.

"She's real fine my 4.09!"

OK, I call :bs: on that. :nonono:
