I made some really good progess on the 88' so far this week. I finnally got the block back from the machine shop and started building it up. The engine assembly is pretty much done. I'll bolt it to the C4 tommorrow, and drop it into the car on saturday.

As you can see, the garage hasn't been cleaned up yet. What are all those extra parts for anyway? There were a bunch of extra bolts and parts. (kidding lol).

In case your wondering about the details of this engine:
Started with a block from a bare block from a 90 ranger, small journal, and had it bored .030 over. Diamond pistons, and sealed power plasma rings, and clevite tri metal bearings. Otherwise stock parts.
T04E, 50 trim stage 3 exhaust
Ported E6
home ported head
ported lower intake, and gutted upper
A small NPR up front will make use of the front facing compressor (no, I didn't weld it on... the guy before me did that mess :nonono: ).
The exhaust will be a 3" downpipe to a 3" exhaust cutout, but when not at the track I can use the quiet dynomax superturbo muffler and remaining 2.5" exhaust.

My plans for the future: Soon as it is adequately broken in and tuned, I'll take it to the dyno. I'll be running the L'series computer with stock 35s and big VAM, so it won't be huge numbers. Those will come later in the fall/winter when I go to a megasquirt with more reasonably sized injectors. I think my dad will take the stock 06 GT to the dyno at the same time, so I've got quite the bench mark to beat. Luckily for me, if we ever end up at the track, I've surely got nearly an 800lb advantage on him.
