I didnt see any in the pictures. It was really a spur of the moment purchase when I got notified he had new auctions up. So I’m really not all that sure what will be coming with them.

They are original parts, but not NOS. Pretty sure they are from a “part out”. That seems to be what most of his inventory is. Neomustangs on eBay.

I’ve purchased from him. His inventory seems to be of good quality. Unlike other sellers he seems to clean up his parts well before listing/shipping.

While it’s nothing to write home about…… my strut tower brace will be here Wednesday. I’m just excited to spruce up the engine bay a little more!! Any stiffening of the front end is an added bonus!

If you have a welder and can, I'd recommend once it's on, weld the nuts to the underside of the strut towers so that you can remove/install all from the top side.

I second that. Unfortunately I did not think to do it when i redid my engine bay. Regret not doing that. Of course now everything is all painted up and shiny so I can't do it now.

Is your bay finished? It might mess the paint on the backside of the weld. Do a test first

No, not to the point I want it to be. It’s just rattle can now. Plans down the road are to pull the motor and do a nice job on the engine bay. And of course while the motor is out, we’ll have to do some work on that! Lol

Are nutserts (rivet nuts) a possible solution there?

Unknown. I think they sit a little proud so if you drill and mount the brace and add nutserts after, it may not align properly.

I'm sure with some careful thought one can get them to work though.

Looks like he’s resting on the CAI and still needs to come down a couple inches. That sucks!
As common as aftermarket intakes and air tubes are, I’m surprised MM haven’t come up with a “modified” brace in their lineup.

Looks like it hits the intake tubing.

I would cut the crossbar, weld it up clean and grind it smooth and then powdercoat the bar and install it like that. I seem to remember Jack Hidley saying that the biggest flex they saw was under hard braking and that's where the bar helped the most. The towers will want to flex foward under braking so that will at least triangulate them to the pinch weld.

No idea how nice it would look though. I admit...i like the appearance of my bar.

The towers will also flex inward and outward on hard cornering which is the reason for the bar between the shock towers. You can solve that problem by installing an SLA system which also allows for a wider wheel up front as the strut no longer dictates how far inboard the wheel can go. Limiting factor then moves to the tire hitting the subframe.

As for the issue on Mondybutt2000's car if you move the crossbar up then it may get into the hood. Might be able to reconfigure the CAI piping but with the turbo hot side piping being right below it just may not be feasible.

I almost removed one bar to clear my hydroboost setup. Fortunately i was able ot notch it and it cleared with no further mods.
