Ok, so what would it take added or changed in my mods to beat an new standard issue vette? Could it be done with a better tune, cam, and intake (track heat? Or would it take a lot more? Thanks.

Are you sure, I would think FI would be necessary. I mean beating the new Vette on the track and on the road are two WAY different things.

I agree.

Yes, with the right cam and tune he could trap 109-110 with the other parts he has now. The gears would help too.

As comparison, a close friend of mine just bought a C5, manual, bone stock, and while he can't drive it worth a **** he still trapped at 109MPH.

The C6 is significantly faster and more powerful.

A power adder isn't totally necessary for this dude- I'd wager that if he could get his MPH to 109-110 as is via a tune and cam, and then put his car on a SERIOUS diet (200-300lbs) he could consistently walk well driven stock new Vettes.

OR you could always call Summit, order a Zex kit, spray 75-100 and walk them with a vengeance. This is called "taking the easy way out". :D

Furthermore, let's keep in mind that in a real drag race, 75% of Vette owners won't be able to drive and you'll beat them as is.

the cam u have is crap. sorry, but it is. You get a better cam, bigger mass air, and a bigger throttle body you could probably keep up.

as far as at the 1/4 track, most vette guys (if they ever go) will not know how to race it. The car is set up for autocrossing anyway, so its not going to have the best supension for dragging. You get good 60' times, you should prolly beat them.
