project T top coupe update for those who care

I think it's spot on. That's where I cut both of mine. I was stil able to use the fox door handles too. They cleared the dash but I did have to trim about 1/8" or more of dorr handle. No biggie. You cut a little too much off the passenger side so you will have a gap between the dash and the lip of the windshield edge. No worries, I did the same thing to my current project. I was paying closer attention to other alighment issues and didn't realize what I was doing.

It looks great...keep up the great work.

okay finally got the dash bolted up had to cut the main tube to get it in, maybe the 1981 body is not the same i dont know but it would not mate up tight without it.

Looks really good S&B! How hard would it have been for Ford to just hit those dash mounting brackets with a coat of paint at the factory?? They're always covered in rust and it annoys the hell out of me any time I see them. Sorry, back on topic. Nicedashboardzomgwtfbbqkhi2u2.

I would fiberglass or seal that tube somehow. That is also the ducting for the drivers side A/C vent. If you are going to make it work again...

when I put mine in, i had no issue with that tube at all... wonder what the difference could be...

i could not get the driver side to lie flush by the door, the metal pipe is hiting the upper firewall so i cut a big slice out, ill just flip it over and weld it all back up
