I bought a set of pulleys from ebay and he sent me the wrong year. The water pump pulley is the wrong size it sits too far forward on the pump. So, I am trying to purchase a new pulley but have not been successful. I have been told another option is changing the size of the belt. I need some advice about whether this is a good idea. If it is what size belt should I get? I believe the set is for the 2001.5 and below size pump. Idea's fellas?

Simply changing the size of the belt is not going to correct the problem of that water pump pulley sitting out too far. I think what they probably meant is you can leave the stock water pump pulley on, and then you would need a shorter belt to fit. Unless someone else has already measured it, your best bet is to use a piece of string through the same route as the belt, measure the string then get a belt slightly shorter than what you measured to allow for the tensioner.
