Purchasing some draglites, can someone translate this?

i'm gonna pick up a set of weld draglites i think for my notch. right now i have 17x9 american racing rebels with 245 fronts and 285/40 rears. the rear tires really stuff the wheel wells and i want to match the large tires on the rear with welds.

so, with stock brakes/track width front and rear, what size/offsets do i need? what size tires are popular for street use? i want skinnys on the front of course.

i'm real uneducated on 4-lug stuff to begin with, let alone the drag stuff. thanks

heres mine:

3.5x15's up front and 15x7's with a 4.5 bs out back.... the tire currently on the back is really wide(12.5) and im going to go a tad narrower.. i know all the guys on here are going to start bashing the way the back wheel sits but its perfect for me because with the tire out farther i can get the best of both worlds wide tires and retaining my quad shocks...

what size tire are you running on the back? i thought it wasnt ideal to run any bigger then a 255 wide tire on a 15x7 inch rim?
