im buying a used 347 longblock. it has 5k miles he says, but it has alot of track passes i guess. he is not trying to hide anything, told me oil pressure figures, ect. i will be able to drive it prior to pulling the trigger.
i think i am going to do a compression check regardless, what should i be seeing roughly from a strong engine? stock block, systemax ported head /w 64 cc chamber i believe, 10:1 probe pistons.
i cant think of anything else to look for? outside of leaks, milky oil, noises or some obvious abnormality.
